2008 FJ Cruiser

Nov 10th, 2010

I needed to buy a reliable vehicle to carry my bikes and kayaks to the trail and lakes.

After driving the different Jeeps and other trucks, I settled on the FJ for it's comfort and reliability.I bought this one from Simi Toyota with 35,000 miles on her. The color was not great, but I grew to love it.This FJ took Marv and other friends to MANY trails, lakes, harbors, and up to June Mountain, to mountain bike, kayak and snow board.I ended up selling this truck to my friend Dustin for $15,000 with 85,000 miles on her. He brought me to understand the cult following of this vehicle. I wanted to upgrade to a 2013 with a back up camera and blue tooth. Here she is over at the Pillars of Lake Crawly hike with Mammoth Mountain in the backround.

Fitting my new kayak on top. However this kayak is inflatable, so it just went inside!

This was up in Big Bear looking for Heart Rock Falls.

This was a hike to the top of the peak overlooking the 101 freeway and Kanan Blvd.

Fall color right around the corner from Bell Canyon

This is how Dustin transformed my old beauty, my new 2013 FJ is in the backround
